BROWNIES and Guides from the Scarborough area met at the Indoor Pool for the annual West Division swimming gala.

Families and friends cheered on the girls as they took part in the 13th annual event.

The Guide winners’ shield went to 15th Scarborough (Emmanuel St John’s) Guide Company.

1st Seamer and Irton Guide Company won the Most Improved Guide team trophy.

5th Scarborough (Wreyfield Drive) Guide Company won the Guides Endeavour Cup.

The Brownie winners shield went to 1st Forge Valley Brownie Pack.

3rd Scarborough (St Mark’s) Brownie Pack won the Most Improved Brownie team trophy. 15th Scarborough (Emmanuel St John’s) Brownie Pack won the Brownie Endeavour cup.

The trophies and shields were presented to the teams by Scarborough West Division president Pauline Woodhead.

A spokesman said: “Scarborough West Division would like to thank Kingfishers swimming club for their help officiating for the evening, assistant Guide guider Linda Davison and her team who organise the event and also Scarborough Trefoil Guild for running the raffle.”
