Police are investigating after a man’s jaw was broken when he was assaulted in Scarborough.

The victim, aged 27, was punched by another man outside Atlas taxi rank in St Thomas Street between 3am and 4am on Thursday April 24. He required treatment at Scarborough Hospital.

The offender is described as white, aged in his 20s, with a slim build and short dark hair. He was wearing a tight, red T-shirt with black markings and dark-coloured trousers.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or can help to identify the offender is urged to contact the police or Crimestoppers with information.
