SCARBOROUGH dance star Matt Flint, 29, has made it through to the final of hit BBC TV show So You Think You Can Dance.
Matt faced tough competition during Saturday night’s semi-final as only six dancers were left in the competition – but he went straight through to the final without having to endure a dance-off.
Matt had experienced a difficult week after pulling a muscle in his back on Wednesday. But the former Raincliffe pupil, who has been one of the front runners throughout the competition, now has his eye on the top spot next Saturday.
Matt started his dance career in Scarborough and has appeared in numerous West End shows. He turned down a part in Shrek the Musical to audition with thousands of other hopefuls for So You Think You Can Dance.
Speaking to the Evening News, Matt thanked everyone who has been voting for him for all their support.
