THE next meeting of the Scarborough Urban Space Group will be held in the Cavalier Suite of the Royal Hotel tomorrow, starting at 7.15pm.
The main agenda items will focus on updates regarding the Tesco and Sainsbury store proposals and developments relating to new housing at High Mill Farm, Scalby.
Members will also be offered the opportunity to comment on recent issues surrounding the two bids for the town’s small casino licence.
One of the contenders, Apollo Leisure, proposes to build a new development in the car parks next to and below Scarborough’s indoor pool in the North Bay.
The other, Nikolas Shaw Ltd, plans to extend Scarborough’s largest casino by 600 metres of floor space over two levels.
Meeting chairman Nick Hart has stressed this topic only relates to potential sites and their implications, not issues concerning the licence.
