TWO public meetings are being held this week to help decide the future of Burniston and Cloughton Village Hall.
Residents in the Central Rural Area of Scarborough are being encouraged to attend one of the two decision-making events. Anyone aged over 11 who lives in the area is allowed to vote on the matter.
A spokesman said: “The hall committee would like to renew the surface of the hall floor, replace bridges in the grounds and rebuild the youth shelter.”
The first meeting will take place at Ayton Village Hall in Wilson’s Lane, East Ayton, from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday. The second event will be held on Saturday at Scarborough Rugby Club in Scalby Road, from 10am to 2pm.
The Scarborough Rural Voice Your Choice participatory budgeting fund, financed by Scarborough Council, will see 29 projects from across the rural area competing for a share of the money.
