MORE than £700 was raised for Help For Heroes during a charity open day at one of the North Bay’s newest attractions.

The Military Adventure Park, on the former Kinderland site, opened its doors to raise money for the armed forces charity.

David Hooper, who set up the business, said; “We were not sure what to expect as this time of year can be quieter, but the people came out to support this worthwhile cause.

“My thanks go out to all those who helped make the day possible and my thoughts are with all members of the armed forces past and present. I hope this money is of some use.

“We are now looking to next year’s event which we hope will include all of the north bay, for a charity day on a much grander scale.”

“Also the Yorkshire coast college performers were brilliant.”
