Motorcyclist injured in Cloughton crash

A motorcyclist has been injured following a collision in Cloughton, near Scarborough.

Emergency services were called to an incident on the A171 at Cloughton involving a Honda motorbike and Toyota MR2 at around 11am today.

The motorcyclist has been flown to James Cook Hospital by an air ambulance. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening and his condition is stable.

Nobody else was injured in the collision.

There was some minor traffic disruption in the area but the road has now been cleared.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101.
