Have your say

A motorcyclist who was seriously injured in a crash in Scarborough has now died in hospital, police confirmed this afternoon (Sunday).

North Yorkshire Police say they are not yet in a position to officially identify the 23 year-old rider who died in Scarborough Hospital.

But they have re-issued an appeal for information about the incident, which took place at around 7.22pm on Dunslow Road at Eastfield.

Police say the man was on board a black Honda CB600 Hornet with a silver frame and blue piping and it was in collision with a white Toyota Yaris outside the Vantage Toyota Garage on the industrial estate.

They particularly want to speak to anyone who saw the bike prior to the collision as it travelled on the A64 towards Scarborough from Malton, or as it entered Dunslow Road in the direction of Cayton.

If you can help, please call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for Martin Mulcaster or the Major Collision Investigation Team. Or email martin.mulcaster@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
