A youth is this morning to appear in court charged the murder of 19-year-old Michael Graham.
Michael, known among friends as Angel, died after receiving stab wounds during an incident near Olympia Leisure, in Foreshore Road, on Saturday night.
The 16-year-old youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has also been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The second charges is in relation to another victim who was 17 years of age who suffered a serious leg injury during the incident.
The 16-year-old is due to appear at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court today at 10am.
Eight other young people, who were arrested yesterday in connection with the investigation – five males and three females – have been released on conditional police bail pending further enquiries.
Witnesses or anyone with information that could assist the investigation are still urged to come forward.
