‘Nags fest’ hit right notes for charity

HUNDREDS of people enjoyed a day of music, food and prizes at a Scalby pub - all in aid of Help for Heroes.

The Nags Head hosted ‘Nags Fest’ and raised £1,000 was raised for the Armed Forces charity.

Landlord Dave Wilkinson said: “I used to be in the RAF and many of our regulars have family in the Armed Forces, so we felt Help for Heroes was a very appropriate charity for us to support.”

The nine hour festival featured live music from seven bands and three acts, as well as a barbecue, a raffle and a prize draw.

Mr Wilkinson added: “We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came, all the artists who played, Harry, Ken Ferrie and Will.”

This year’s event was the second of its kind, and Mr Wilkinson they hope to do the same again next year.
