A STUNNING 9ct white gold and diamond necklace worth £1,200 will be auctioned off in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice.

The one-off piece was created and donated to the hospice by jeweller and goldsmith Peter Brewer of Falsgrave Road.

It will be the top auction prize at the forthcoming “Beach Ball” at the Spa Complex on Saturday June 11.

The necklace is a unique design created by Peter in the shape of a shell to complement the theme of this year’s ball.

Fundraiser Jane Richardson said: “Peter has been tremendously generous to make such a lovely piece for us. It will be on display for our supporters to view at Peter Brewer’s shop at 77 Falsgrave Road from now until the June 10.

“As well as the necklace, the actual shell Peter took his inspiration from will be on display alongside it.”

The necklace will be auctioned on the night of the ball, but bids can be submitted prior at either at the jewellers or the hospice.

Ball tickets are still available at £60 each which includes a Pimm’s drinks reception, gala dinner and dancing to The Bogus Brothers and Spectrum Disco.
