New mapping to be explored

RECENT discoveries in the about the history behind the North of England will be revealed at the next meeting of the Scarborough Archaeological and Historical Society.

The society is set to host a lecture entitled “Recent discoveries in the North by the English Heritage Aerial Survey team” on Monday evening.

Recent discoveries from the reconnaissance programme in the North of England will be highlighted and new results from the National Mapping Programme will be explored.

The lecture starts at 7.30pm in the Library and Information Centre, Vernon Road, Scarborough.
