Staff, pupils and parents think its outstanding, and so does Ofsted too!

Childhaven Nursery School received the grade after a summer inspection.

Headteacher Jane Pepper, pictured centre with staff and children, said: “Everyone who works at Childhaven has contributed to this achievement and I’d like to thank them for their enthusiasm and commitment to the children and their learning. I’m delighted their work has been recognised in this way.

“As a local authority nursery school we have a school inspection which looks closely at the progress children make and the quality of teaching.”

She added: “We are very proud of our children who showed the inspector that they behave outstandingly well, are highly independent and take on challenges with determination.

“We were very touched that so many parents feel so strongly about the work we do.”

Chair of governors Kevin Wardell added: “This is a judgement which staff and pupils can be exceptionally proud of and is recognition of the very high levels of enthusiasm and dedication always evident at Childhaven Nursery School.”
