Pop sensation Olly Murs is to make his return to “Scarbados” tonight as he takes to the stage at the Open Air Theatre.

Olly is returning to the North Bay venue this evening following a sell-out show last summer.

Speaking ahead of his visit Olly said: “Of course I’m looking forward to coming back to Scarbados!

“It is always a great atmosphere up there as I don’t get the chance to visit everywhere in the country very often.

“It’s just a great atmosphere up there and I have some brilliant fans in Scarborough.

“It’s not an area I can get to on my arena tour, and as I did it last year and had such fun I just had to come back. I love the venue because its just really different to a lot of other summer show venues I play at, and the fans are noisy!”

When asked if he will be visiting attractions in the town while in Scarborough Olly said: “I won’t have the chance unfortunately and I’ve got a gig the next day that I’ve got to get to, or else I definitely would. Hopefully the sun will be out though and I can put on a good show for everyone coming to see me.”

Doors to the show, which also features Diana Vickers and Tich, are due to open at 6pm. For live coverage from the gig visit www.thescarboronews.co.uk or follow us on twitter @thescarboronews. Also see next week’s Scarborough News for pictures and reviews.
