Open night a big hit

A SCARBOROUGH college threw open its doors to prospective students during a successful open night.

Scarborough Sixth Form College welcomed scores of school pupils keen to learn more about the next step in their journey through further education.

The event came after the college’s original open evening was badly affected by the harsh snow showers earlier this year.

However, Emma Anderson, the college’s admission and marketing manager, said the night had been a big hit.

She added: “The night was a real success and we had some excellent feedback from those who came along.

“We showcased everything the college has to offer, including A-Level subjects, BTEC courses and GCSEs and the night was really busy.

“There were also experiments on show in science and people doing artwork too, which proved very popular.”
