Pair in court charged with Scarborough murder

Two men have appeared in court charged with the murder of a man in Scarborough.

Richard Walker, 50, was found dead in a flat in Princess Street on October 19 at around 4.30pm.

Clifford Honeyman, 42, and Andrew Thomas Stevenson, 39, were arrested on suspicion of murdering 50-year-old Ricky Walker on Friday evening and were charged yesterday evening (Monday October 24).

The pair appeared separately behind a secure screen in court room two at Scarborough Magistrates' Court this morning (October 25).

Both men have also been charged with two counts of robbery which occurred in Scarborough, one between 12 and 15 October 2016 and the other on 14 October 2016. The robbery charges are not connected to Ricky Walker.

They have yet to enter a plea at this stage.

Both men remain in custody and will appear at Leeds Crown Court tomorrow (October 26).
