TWO Scarborough women are on the lookout for sponsors after they decided to take the plunge with a tandem charity skydive.

Nikki White and Cher Atkinson are hoping to raise money for the Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Mind mental health charity with their jump, which is scheduled for April 30.

Both have been supported by their employers through sponsorship.

Nikki works at North Yorkshire Law in Albemarle Crescent while Cher works at Fusion Resources in St Nicholas Street.

Tanya Atkinson, the managing director of Fusion Resources said: “Cher, our branch manager, was approached by her friend Nikki White to take part in a tandem skydive for the Mind charity.

“We decided it would be a great cause to show our support for as Mind is a fantastic charity which helps huge amounts of people every year, including lots of families whom are affected directly or indirectly.

“They not only help raise awareness and money but also provide valuable support and advice, and relentlessly campaign to promote and protect good mental health for everyone.”

To sponsor Nikki, donations can be made at North Yorkshire Law while donations for Cher can be made at Fusion Resources.
