Scarborough and District Buses has announced that it will be running a brand new Park and Ride service to Alpamare Scarborough’s new waterpark.
The service, which will run from Seamer Road Park and Ride site, will give direct buses to the waterpark, running from 9.35am every day in summer.
Parking at the site will be free, and it is £2.40 for the bus journey to Alpamare, or £1.20 for children.
Discounted admission tickets to Alpamare are also available to buy from the bus driver along with the Park and Ride ticket.
The buses will start running when the water park opens on Thursday, and will run every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from the start of the Easter holidays until the first week of September, and every day of the week during the Easter holidays, the summer half term, July and the school summer holidays.
Anton Hoefter, Alpamare’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “I am very happy that we can offer a combined ticket bus and waterpark to our guests.
"This will make it easy and convenient to travel to Alpamare by public transport.”
