A GROUP of Scarborough youngsters are inviting fellow teens to a fundraising party at Vivaz in Huntriss Row.

The event will take place on Friday October 14 from 7.45pm to 10.45pm and costs £4 per ticket.

People are encouraged to wear crazy fancy dress and it can be based on any theme you like.

All the profits will go towards Scarborough-based charity Ellie’s Fund.

The organisers are all members of the charity’s youth committee and were friends of Ellie Othick-Bowmaker, who died aged 14 after battling two brain tumours.

Ellie’s Fund was set up in her memory and has raised thousands of pounds towards brain tumour research and helping children who are going through cancer treatment.

Youth committee member Hannah Pacey (pictured) said: “The party is for 13 to 18 year olds and everyone is welcome.

“We’re looking forward to it - it’s the first time we’ve done a party at Vivaz.” Tickets must be bought in advance from Dissent, Huntriss Row, and Dare Hair, Castle Road.
