Earlier today, Monday May 30, the road between Scarborough and Whitby was closed north of Cloughton due to a burst water main.

Yorkshire Water closed the road just south of The Falcon Inn pub, between Helwath Road and Gowland Road.

The road is now open, but two-way traffic lights are in place and delays are possible.

The road closed yesterday, Sunday May 29 and is expected to open again at midnight on Wednesday June 1.
