PHOTO SLIDESHOW: Scarborough Pancake Races

Flip, flip hooray! The Strictly Pancakes races once again drew huge crowds to the town on Shrove Tuesday.

People of all ages gathered to watch the fun-filled town centre spectacle in Aberdeen Walk.

Participants from the 23 teams from local businesses made their way along an obstacle course which featured jumps and slalom sections – all while carrying frying pans and pancakes. The pancakes were cooked up earlier by Yorkshire Coast College catering students. Stepney Hill Farm’s Ashley and Nicola Tyson, dressed as Worzel Gummidge and Aunt Sally, were the winners.
