COLLEGE students have exercised their creative talents in a public exhibition showcasing a year’s hard work.
Scarborough Sixth Form AS and A2 years in fine art, textiles and fashion, and graphic communication held a successful open evening at the college and were praised by tutors Alice Thornton and Jason Saunby.
They said: “Staff are extremely proud of the achievements made by all students across the art department. We are particularly pleased with our new graphic communication course.
“During the end of year moderation the senior examiner said that is was the best college he had seen all year.
“The exhibition was incredibly busy on our open evening. Visitors were quite stunned that it was A level work and felt it was closer in quality to degree level work.
“It is a lively and diverse exhibition showcasing the talents of students who are going on to study a range of art related subjects at prestigious universities such as Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds and St. Martins in London.”
Weather permitting there will be a selection of the students work in the town centre on July 5.
