Police hunt for witnesses

POLICE are appealing for vital witnesses to a fatal bike crash as they release the identity of the rider.

Police investigating the fatal collision in which a 31-year-old motorcyclist died on Wednesday afternoon are appealing for the three witnesses to come forward.

The collision occurred just after 4pm on the road which leads from the Fox and Rabbit pub to Thornton le Dale, just past the turn-off to Dalby Forest.

The first witness is a man who stopped to help at the scene. He was driving a flat-bed, pick-up style vehicle and said he was either a fireman or a retired fireman.

Police would also like to trace a man and a woman who also stopped to help, they were driving a dark-coloured 4x4 vehicle.

Police are urging the three people to contact them as they could have vital information which could help the investigation.

The biker has been named as Tyrone Cunningham, from the Dane Park area of Hull.
