Two Scarborough police officers were presented with Locality Director Commendations for their quick-thinking in a life-threatening situation.

PC David Twyford and PC Jonathan Kenworthy were called on by a member of the public to help a man who had collapsed in cardiac arrest in the street. They started CPR until Scarborough-based paramedic, Joe Taylor, emergency care assistant, Steven Brunt and paramedic practitioner, Bernie Hartley arrived on scene. The crew resuscitated the patient, who was taken to hospital and later returned home. Pictured left to right are Mike Wright, locality manager at Scarborough and chief inspector, Lindsey Stamp presenting PC David Twyford and PC Jonathan Kenworthy with commendations. Submitted.
