Godfrey Bloom, the Scarborough UKIP MEP currently at the centre of a political storm over his controversial outburst earlier this week, has spoken to The Scarborough News.

He was interviewed at The Spa, as part of a whistle-stop visit to the town to show his support to a pair of prospective UKIP borough councillors, who are contesting the two vacant town hall seats in the by-election this month.

In his interview with us, he discusses sea defences, the by-election and, of course, the fallout to his ‘bongo bongo’ remark.
