SCARBOROUGH people will have the chance to put their questions to an expert panel in a Question Time style event next month.
It is being organised by the Scarborough Urban Area Forum and takes place in Scarborough Library and Information Centre in Vernon Road from 7pm on Wednesday June 15, with refreshments to be served from 6.50pm.
Senior figures from Scarborough Council, North Yorkshire County Council, the York and North Yorkshire Primary Care Trust, Scarborough Hospital and North Yorkshire Police will make up the panel and will answer questions submitted both before and during the event.
People are invited to send their questions directly to the Evening News. We will feature some of the questions posed in an article ahead of the forum and the questions raised by those residents will then be put to the panel.
Chairman of the meeting will be radio presenter Adam Tomlinson. The names of the senior figures on the panel will be confirmed shortly.
Scarborough Urban Area Forum chairman Lindy Rowley said: “This is an excellent opportunity for residents to raise issues and ask questions to senior decision makers from a range of services.
“There are different ways to submit your questions and it’s shaping up to be a lively event, it’s a great chance to find out about topics that affect you and the area in which you live, so don’t miss out.”
To submit your questions in advance, drop in the attached form at the Evening News reception or send it to: Ian Duncan, Scarborough Evening News, 17-23 Aberdeen Walk, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO11 1BB. Alternatively, email council reporter Ian at email@example.com
All questions must be received by noon on Monday June 13.
