A PUBLIC inquiry into proposals for a huge gas plant between Scarborough and Pickering continued yesterday.
Bosses from North Yorkshire County Council and National Park Authority outlined their case against the £50 million Ryedale Gas Project in Thornton-le-Dale.
However, Moorland Energy, the company behind the plans, has argued it will boost national energy targets and create 25 local jobs.
The inquiry is expected to last 12 days.
An evening public session will take place in Thornton-le-Dale Village Hall next Tuesday, from 7pm.
