AN exhibition by printmaker Dawn Brooks can be seen at Crescent Arts, where Dawn has a studio.
Fragment Series consists of work produced over the last year.
Dawn explores printmaking and drawing processes which combine drypoint etching and collagraph on a large scale, requiring several plates to form an image.
The prints acquire a powerful physical presence in a space devised for the show, says Crescent Arts director Stuart Cameron.
Dawn has had a studio there since 2002 and has exhibited her work widely. She won a prize at a print competition in Cornwall last year, which led to an exhibition in New Zealand later this year.
In 2008 Dawn was awarded a grant for research and development by the Arts Council.
To coincide with the exhibition, she will offer an introduction to drypoint etching at a workshop on 19 February, during Coastival.
The exhibition runs until 20 February and can be seen from 11am-5pm Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, plus Sunday 20 February.
