Pupils go quackers for animal show!

YOUNGSTERS at a Scarborough school went quackers when Easter chicks hatched in the classroom!

The reception class pupils at East Ayton Primary School were in a flap after their special guests left them delighted with their arrival.

And they were given more reason to cheer after a visit from students at Askham Bryan College, who brought a host of creatures for them to meet.

Mandy Glenwright, a teaching assistant at the school, said: “We got the eggs from a local farmer, incubated them and waited for them to hatch.

“The children absolutely loved the visit too and it was very hands-on. It gave them the chance to see and touch animals they are not used to, it just brought the topic to life for them.”
