SCARBOROUGH Ramblers chased away any new year blues with a well-supported walk from Falsgrave Park.
Local members were joined by guests from Bridlington on a walk to Throxenby Mere, then on to Seamer Beacon, where they had a picnic lunch.
The Ramblers noted that following a complaint to North Yorkshire County Council, an illegal “keep out” sign had been removed from a public footpath on the route
A spokesman said: “Ramblers are co-operating with tourist and health authorities to provide opportunities for both visitors and residents to enjoy the benefits of North Yorkshire’s marvellous countryside.
“Keeping open rights of way ensures that these healthy pleasures remain available to all.”
