CLOWNING around was all part of the fun during a Scarborough school’s end-of-year show.
The circus-themed production at Gladstone Road Junior School featured acrobats, hula hoopers, strongmen, jugglers, tightrope walkers and traditional clowns.
More than 100 six and seven year olds took part in the show, which proved popular with parents, staff and friends.
Teacher Kate Boddy said: “Everyone enjoyed the show and the children loved taking part.
“We had a visit from the Stephen Joseph Theatre team who came in and taught the children clowning skills.
“They worked on scenarios, gags, silly walks, falls and partner work. They had a lot of fun with it and said it was one of their favourite things of the year.”
The school has been doing a show for the last couple of years to mark the end of the summer term.
