Residents urged to ‘save their stamps’

THE British Kidney Patient Association is asking people in Scarborough to “save their stamps”.

A spokeswoman said: “Before you go to throw away an envelope which has a postage stamp attached, think that by simply saving that stamp, you could be helping a person who has kidney failure.

“At the British Kidney Patient Association, we need your used postage stamps, foreign coins and notes, old British 5p and 10p pieces and old British notes.

“All these items are one of the many ways in which we endeavour to raise much-needed funds.”

Items should be sent to Mary Jordan, Charity Administrator, British Kidney Patient Association, 3 The Windmills, Turk Street, Alton, Hampshire, GU34 1EF.
