A group of fun-loving fundraisers have been clowning around on the run-up to this year’s St Catherine’s Hospice Midnight Walk.

The event on September 14 is fast approaching and teams have been busy getting their costumes ready and sponsor forms completed.

Organiser Penny Campbell said: “What a lovely collection of clowns! Sadly one could not make it because there are six in total, but they looked fab and are really excited.

“As soon as the date and the circus theme was announced, they started preparing their costumes. They are two sisters and their daughters who are taking part and as well as the dressing up they are looking forward to the bacon butties and ice cream at the Harbour Bar. Who wouldn’t!”

For those that have already entered, T-shirts can be collected in the reception at the hospice or at registration on the night. Please contact fundraising on (01723) 378406 if you wish to take part or fill in one of the forms available at all of the Saint Catherine’s Hospice charity shops or go online to www.stcatherineshospice-nyorks.org

Penny said: “If you’ve not taken part before, you will be amazed by the party atmosphere and warmth of feeling on this night.”
