This will be Edgehill and Filey Town from the 2006-07 season, Edgehill and West Pier from 1996-97, Edgehill and Whitby Arcadians from 1986-87, Old Scarborians and Cayton Corinthians from 1976-77, as well as Fishburn Park and Old Scarborians from 1966-67.

League secretary John Orrah said: “The league would love to see you at the game. Contact your former team mates and join us for a pre -match lunch.

“The shield and cup will be at the day’s event and it is hoped we can get as many faces along to get a team shot for a then and now gallery.

“A number of clubs have annual reunions now and it would be great to utilise this annual game to reunite players of the past, as well as support the best players of today’s league teams as they take on Scarborough Athletic.”

Any former players or teams should contact Orrah at jorracle@yahoo.co.uk or 07816 321608 to book a place for lunch.

This game will be Boro’s first pre-season fixture as they prepare for the new Evo-Stik North season.

They kick off their training sessions on Saturday at York College, before a flood of seven friendlies.

They will tackle East Riding Carnegie at Scarborough Rugby Club on Wednesday July 20, followed by a game at Selby on July 23.

Pickering will host Boro on July 26, with Steve Kittrick’s men taking the trip to Harrogate Town on July 30.

August 2 will see Frickley host Boro, before the final pre-season game at derby rivals Whitby Town on August 6.

Boss Kittrick is looking forward to getting going.

He said: “I just can’t wait for the season to start now.

“We’ve still got a bit of business to do, but the squad is definitely taking shape.”
