A problem at Scarborough's telephone exchange has left a number of BT customers without broadband.
A number of residents contacted The Scarborough News after losing their internet connection on Thursday night.
Properties in the Newby area of Scarborough remain without broadband with BT engineers currently working to rectify the problem.
A BT spokesman said: “A small number of fibre broadband users in the Newby area of Scarborough are experiencing a loss of their broadband service due to a technical problem at Scarborough telephone exchange.
"We are very sorry for any inconvenience this is causing. Engineers are at the exchange and are working to restore service as quickly as possible.”
