Scarborough slipped to a heavy 146-run defeat in their ECB Yorkshire Premier League North clash at Woodhouse Grange.
The North Marine Road side looked to be in a good position when opener Andrew Bilton was dismissed by Kristian Wilkinson with just two runs on the board, but Grange battled back superbly.
Tom Young hit a half century and number three Chris Bilton was unbeaten on 92 as they fought their way to a very useful 263-5.
Overseas Brad Scott took 2-49 for the best bowling haul of the innings.
Scarborough struggled throughout in the reply, though there was a short up-turn in runs thanks to Darren Mills (30) and knocks in the 20s from Oliver Stephenson and Ben Elvidge.
in the end though, Scarborough lost their last six wickets for just 17 runs and Grange emerged comfortable winners.
Josh Jackson was the top Grange bowler with 4-33.
