A big reunion for staff who worked at Marks and Spencer in the 1980s has been held in Scarborough.
The get-together, which attended by around 50 people, was held at the home of Sue Vasey at Limestone Road in Burniston.
Sue Atkinson, who organised the event, said: “It was a brilliant night and so many people came.
“Everybody brought food and drink and it was great to get together.
“It was like old times - everyone was laughing and joking and sharing photographs and memories.
“We all said we had the best times working there. It was great to be able to talk about old times.”
Mrs Atkinson added: “It was so good of Sue and her husband Brian to let us use the house and garden.
“Everyone had such a good time. I’ve had some thank you cards from people too, which is really nice.”
The former staff were also delighted to see Diane Moor wearing her original M&S uniform on the night.
The event also featured a raffle in aid of a memorial bench for Seana Cappleman, who passed away earlier this year after battling cancer.
More fundraising events are now in the pipeline in Seana’s memory.
Marks and Spencer, in Newborough, Scarborough, has been through many changes of decor and uniform through the years.
Pictured below are the blue and white striped uniforms, but many will remember the beige patterned dress worn by staff in the 1980s.
Mrs Atkinson said that when she worked there, staff enjoyed a strong social scene, with many events held on a regular basis, such as anniversary parties, Christmas dos and weekend get-togethers.
