Scarborough boxer Jamie Scotter will be looking to put a frustrating period behind him when he laces up the gloves as a professional for the first time later this month.
Scotter was set to make his first appearance in the paid ranks earlier this year, but an issue with his eyesight scuppered his plans.
The Scarborough ABC-based contender has forked out for laser eye surgery to rectify the issues and will now make his debut in Hull on September 30 after his medical was ratified by the British Boxing Board of Control.
“After months of anxiously waiting, I’ve got the go-ahead to box as a professional and my pro debut is September 30 at Hull City Hall,” Scotter said.
