THEY might not get a badge for their efforts, but these Scouts were still happy to muck in at their annual Grand Jumble Sale.

Members of the Westborough Scout group held the sale, car wash and coffee morning on Saturday.

The morning was to help raise funds for their minibus appeal.

They are trying to raise enough money to replace their current 10-year-old vehicle with a newer model.

However, the bus isn’t cheap, and the group are looking at having to raise about £10,000 to buy it.

But the day went well, with group chairman John Ritchie saying: “It was a fantastic effort.

“We raised just short of £400, we are looking to raise about £10,000 and there’s a few more events over the year.”

More fundraising events are planned for 2012 and the group are seeking donations throughout it to help them achieve their goal.
