Speedy youngsters dominated the track in a national car race at Rufforth Airfield.
Racing against their peers, the 49th Eastfield Scout Group took home seven trophies including a top podium finish for the fastest Explorer Scout in the country.
Two teams of Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts from Eastfield took part in the annual event in York, carrying on a 30-year tradition.
Explorer Scout leader Iain Clarke said: “It was the first time many of the Scouts had ever done this so we’re very pleased.
“Our biggest thanks go to Sweeting Engineers. They made us a brand new car from aluminium and donated it to the Scout group for this year’s event.
“Darren Fullard from Sweeting was part of the Scout group and raced the old cars over 15 years ago and couldn’t believe it still went on .”
The group also received a grant from the local parish council towards costs.
