THE lucky winner of a £300 mountain bike collected their prize from Halfords in Scarborough.

Susanna Callaghan scooped the prize at the recent Secret Wood event in Raincliffe Woods.

She filled in an evaluation form about the event and her name was picked out at random.

Secret Wood organiser John Bradley said: “To have companies like Halfords supporting us is great.

“I’d like to than them and everyone who supported the Secret Wood.

“We had a marvellous response and all being well we’ll be back next year.”

Jim Mitchell, store manager of Halfords in Seamer Road, said: “We were happy to support this local project.

“We have a lot of staff who are keen mountain bikers and use Raincliffe Woods.

“We had three people at the Secret Wood promoting the ‘bike to work’ scheme, which helps to promote a healthy lifestyle.”

The event featured a number of fun, family attractions, such as birds of prey.
