Alan Bruce, chairman of the Friends of the YMCA, said: “The coffee morning went really well and was very well attended.

“Everyone really enjoyed it, from the visitors to the volunteers running stalls.

“The cast of the Easter show were a really good boost too.

“They were out on the street singing and dancing, and encouraging people to come in.

“It was nice to have something different going on at the same time.”

The cast of the show included Alice in Wonderland and Snow White characters.

The coffee morning at the theatre saw a total of £320.45 raised for the cause.
