Shows to be just magical

BETWEEN 150 and 200 magicians from across Europe are travelling to the Spa this weekend.

They are attending the Northern Magic Circle Convention and will be presenting two shows.

On Saturday, at 2pm, Michael Jordon, the Magic Circle’s young magician of the year, and some of the UK’s best children’s entertainers will present Children’s Showtime.

The weekend culminates on Sunday evening with the All Star Gala Show, featuring some of the world’s best magicians.

They will include America’s Thom Peterson, from the Magic Castle; parlour magic world champion Marc Oberon; elegant Australian Jay Scott-Berry; regular Las Vegas performer Luke Jermay; award-winning junior performer Ben Proos; laughs aplenty from Ian Keable; juggler Mat Ricardo; and Sweden’s award-winning Tom Stone.

Northern Magic Circle spokesman Alan Mylecraine says: “Scarborough is a magical place and we are very much looking forward to our gathering. We have an exceptional line-up of talent coming to the east coast.

“We are looking forward to welcoming residents and visitors to our public shows in the town”.
