Thousands of people turned out for Scarborough’s Pancake Day celebrations as the sun came out for the much-loved traditional event.

Crowds flocked to watch the ringing of the Pancake Bell in town followed by the fun-filled Pancake Race in Aberdeen Walk.

South Bay was packed with people of all ages out skipping, a tradition that has taken place since the early 1900s.
