A SPONSORED ride in aid of Scarborough Disablement Action Group (DAG) has raised over £600.

The event took place at Ripley’s Farm in Burniston, with participants choosing a five, 15 or 20-mile route.

Spot prizes were given out and there was also a tombola to help boost funds even further.

Graziella Brownbridge, an advisor from Scarborough DAG, said: “It went very well and everybody really enjoyed it.

“It was a bit windy and wet to start with, but the weather cleared up later on.

“Everybody came back with a smile on their face.”

She added that the main organiser was Sue Pudney, the charity’s volunteer coordinator, who had put a lot of time and effort into the event.

Graziella said: “We would like to given a big thank you to everyone who took part and all the staff and volunteers who helped on the day.

“We are also very grateful to Ian and Suzanne Burnett for the venue and for sponsoring the rosettes.”

Scarborough DAG is in desperate need of funding and is grateful for donations and support.
