You had better watch out for spooks and monsters at Scarborough’s market vaults on Wednesday with a special Hallowe’en event.

There will be a series of ghostly stories as well as Scarborough Vaults Ghost Trail for visitors and proceeds will go to Ellie’s Fund.

Terry Cullen, the Market Hall and Vaults Superintendent, said: “It’s fantastic to see traders in The Vaults coming together in this way – I can’t speak highly enough of their efforts and I urge families in Scarborough to come along and have some spooky fun.”

Local author GP Taylor said: “I am telling a ghost story that took place in the Vaults – it’s not for the faint hearted.”

And organiser Emma Houston said: “We are really hoping that this event will draw some much needed attention to the independent traders of the Market Vaults and a fantastic local charity that is very close to our hearts.”
