TWO good causes have been given a boost thanks to Seamer Sports Association.

The club held a fundraising night and raised an impressive £900, which has been shared between Martin House Children’s Hospice and the Scarborough branch of Epilepsy Action.

George Sowersby, a member of the Scarborough Friends of Martin House, would very much like Jackie Burrows and members of Seamer Sports Association for their kind and generous donation.

He said: “This is the second year in succession we have received a donation from Seamer Sports and we are very grateful indeed for all their hard work, which goes a long way to help Martin House as it costs over £4 million a year to run.”

Organisers at Seamer Sports thanked everyone for their support.
