STAFF from Scarborough Council looked pretty in pink during a big charity fundraiser.
Employees from across the authority donned pink ties, shirts and other items of clothing to support the Breast Cancer Campaign.
Last year the council raised more than £250 for the cause and were aiming to go one better this year with pink-themed cake sales and sweepstake games in the Town Hall.
Gabrielle Jandzio, Scarborough Council’s communications officer and chief fundraiser, said she hoped the fun day would raise a significant sum for the charity.
She said: “For the last couple of years, everyone has really got into the spirit and helped raise money for this very worthy cause.
“There are very few people today who don’t know someone who has been affected by breast cancer.
“It is a cause that touches all or lives in one way or another and we are happy to be able to support it.”
