FUN and fitness will be on the cards at a charity Zumba event in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice in Scarborough.
Debs Horsham-Batley, a licensed Zumba fitness instructor, has joined forces with seven members of hospice staff to organise the night on Friday January 14 at Scarborough College New Hall.
Zumba, the latest dance craze, combines fitness with fun. The music is a Latin-American style which has a fantastic beat and makes it easy to enjoy the workout.
The doors will open at 7pm and everyone is asked to arrive by 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start. When the class finishes at 8.30pm there will be light refreshments and the hospice staff will be running a raffle.
All the raffle prizes have been donated to support Saint Catherine’s.
Hospice fundraiser Penny Campbell added: “The dance is such an enjoyable way to get fit for individuals or for a group of friends.
“It’s a great way to burn off the Christmas puddings and chocolates!”
It will be a ticket-only event, price £5, and they can be picked up in advance from the hospice in Throxenby Lane. Alternatively call (01723) 351421.
Everyone is welcome.
