Steve Kittrick: Ready to meet the fans

Tomorrow night's AGM and fans forum will be the opportunity to see where we are going with things.

We had a fans forum soon after I started at the club last year, at that point there were a few doubters.

Since then people have seen what we are all about, but we’ll have to see if they have changed their minds.

On the field I think we are moving in the right direction, though we are always on the look-out for players who can come in and strengthen what we have.

My observations about the off-the-field matters is that the board could possibly do with a bit more help.

Every board needs volunteers and that looks to be the chase when you see our chairman Dave Holland and Nick Finch putting out the kit before games, to me that isn’t their job.

We did have a kit man, but he vanished after two weeks because supposedly he had fallen in love.

Help with things like that would make their lives and their roles so much easier.

Moving onto Saturday’s game against Mossley, they will be another team coming to Queensgate to knock us off our perch.

We have done quite well at home in recent weeks, but in this league anyone can beat anyone, so they’ll be looking to end our run.

If they come and they’re organised, we’ll have to perform or we’ll get beat.

We have to earn the right to win every week.

The longer we remain unbeaten at home the deeper you have to dig with every game that passes.

We’ll be looking for the lads to do exactly that on Saturday.

l Tomorrow’s AGM takes place at the Scarborough Bowls Centre from 7.30pm.
